Afua likes basslines, heavy beats, pretty melodies, and describes her sound as alternative R&B/Pop. A talented classically trained musician, South London, she sings, writes, produces and plays the trumpet. Renowned DJs Gilles Peterson and Tom Robinson have aired her singles on BBC Radio 1/BBC 6 Music. A musical highlight so far, for Afua, is performing 'If You Want Me To Stay' onstage with Larry Graham (Sly & The Family Stone) at the Clapham Grand, London.

She has composed and recorded vocals and trumpet with Sekou Koyate, Cheikh Lo, Thandiswa Mazwai and Dogs Die In Hot Cars for BBC African Connection.

Afua is a featured artist, arranger on 'U4Mi' on Jerusalaam Come LP by Juice Aleem (Big Dada/ Ninja Tune Records). She is also featured as singer, writer, and arranger on 'Club Card Points,' 'Two In The Bush,' and 'Practice' on All One Word LP by JetTricks (Legere Recordings), and on 'Live The Dreams', 'All The Beautiful Things', 'Song Our Song remix' on Horsley Park LP by Rivera Rotation (Lounge Records).

Afua features on many of Kachina's Affectionate Grooves projects including the labels inaugural release 'Smile' EP.
